2011 Booking Information

Although Friday is the usual turn round day we
are happy to try to accommodate different days when possible, and adjust the daily rate pro rata.

Terms

A booking deposit of £150.00 per week booked is required with your written booking to cover any breakages / excessive cleaning.  The full balance of the villa price is due for payment 6 weeks before your holiday starts, or at once if booked within this period. Payment is by cheque or BACS transfers. No refund will be made for non-appearance or early departures. Your own travel and medical insurance must cover this eventuality. You are asked to pledge a security deposit against any villa damage of £100.00. Your security deposit will be returned to you (we hope) within 14 days of your return from holiday.

Other Information

The villa will be available for occupation from 2 pm on each Friday and check out on day of departure is 10 am on Friday. 

We can arrange for the hire of cots and high chairs if required.

We can also arrange for food starter packs to be left in villa at the commencement of your holiday to include basics such as bread, butter, fruit juice, milk, etc.

Insurance

We regret that we are unable to accept liability in the case of any theft, damage or personal injuries during your holiday. We would therefore strongly recommend that you should make your own arrangements for insurance cover for full medical care, personal travel protection and for cancellation and curtailment protection of you and all your party. We will leave this to you and assume that you will make these arrangements. We offer no refund for a holiday cut short or for a holiday not started. Your own policies must cover you and your party against all such eventualities.

Flights & Car Rental

There are approaching 15 airlines which fly to Mahon airport, Menorca including Monarch Airlines, Britannia Airlines, Air 2000, European Airlines & BA. A copy of the Menorcan Flight Directory may be obtained by telephoning Celtic Holidays 01634 868600 who are also able to book flights and car hire.

We recommend hiring a car to give freedom to explore the island. However it is possible to travel around the island on public transport. A previous guest who decided not to hire a vehicle wrote. “The coach style services are clean and efficient and quite well priced if a little infrequent". They seem to stick well to their timetable, but can run a bit early or a bit late and are not very flexible about where they drop or pick up. You can get all over the island, though often via Mahon and you need to plan your return times as some services are limited.

Finally, a caution about recommending. We have learned from others that recommending cars, holidays, airlines, hotels, books, films, etc. is not necessarily always a good idea.
